How To Screenshot On Mac

A screenshot is just a straightforward picture of your screen, that is totally very simple to create. However, just like it can be taken on your Windows and Mobile devices, it can also be taken on your Mac. For easy accessibility, the primary tool for taking screenshots on a Mac device is known as “Screenshot”. This tool allows you to capture both images and videos of your screen content. To access the Screenshot tool, you can either navigate to your application folder, select “other,” or click on the “Screenshot” option.

Furthermore, there are additional capabilities you can utilize. Upon opening the Screenshot tool, a menu bar will appear at the bottom of the screen, displaying various options for capturing your screen. You can opt to capture your entire screen or a specific window, which will save it as a transparent PNG.

With that, you will have a window image with a clear background, except for a subtle drop shadow. Additionally, the selected area option provides a marquee tool that allows you to choose a specific portion of your screen, regardless of the area size.

If you want to capture a specific portion of your screen, hold down Shift, Command, and 4 keys simultaneously. Your cursor will change to a selection tool that allows you to drag and highlight the desired area using a mouse pad. Once you’ve selected the area, release the keys, and the screenshot will appear in the bottom right corner and will be saved to your desktop.

Procedure 3:

If you want greater control over your screenshots, follow these steps: Press Shift, Command, and 5 keys simultaneously. This will open a new window in the center of your screen. From there, you can adjust the options as needed. Use your finger to drag across the screen and select the area you want to capture, then click “Capture” located in the bottom right corner.
